Salvation

Many people believe that salvation is going to church, paying your tithes and other good works. Others believe that being baptized as an infant gives you salvation. God calls salvation a mystery which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col 1:27). To be truly saved you must believe that Jesus died on a cross for your sins becoming a curse for you. It is his blood that forgives and cleanses us from our sins.
When a person believes in their heart that Jesus Christ is God's son, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified on a cross and physically raised from the dead; he is born again (saved) and his name written down in heaven.
The scriptures say "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord Jesus, shall be saved." So, simply say "Father God, I come to you now confessing all my sins, asking your forgiveness and cleansing by the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for me. I have been a sinner in the past and now accept your forgiveness. Have mercy on me, and Lord Jesus come into my life and live your life through me. Thank you for taking away my sins and giving me eternal life. Reveal yourself to me more and more as you are being formed in me- Amen

(Now your name is written down in heaven)
